Some information about the Mill. The Fyansford Paper Mill is located in Fyansford on the West side of Geelong - just off the Geelong Ring Road - easy to access. It is AUSTRALIA'S ONLY intact old Paper Mill with its 915 metre water race, and it was one of Australia's FIRST recyclers using old discarded clothing to make paper - not wood. Since Australian Paper Manufacturers (APM) sold the Fyansford Paper Mill in 1929 to private owners, there have been some very interesting, amazing and different uses of the Paper Mill buildings including a secret Naval facility during World War II.
